At Restoration House Church of Morristown, our beliefs are grounded in God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ. We believe in walking out our faith with truth, love, and compassion-helping every person experience restoration through God’s grace.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God-truth without error, written by those led by the Holy Spirit. It is our foundation and final authority for faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21
One God in Three Persons
We believe in one eternal God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-distinct yet perfectly united.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe God created humanity in His image, but through sin we fell from fellowship with Him.
Every person is in need of redemption and restoration that only comes through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12
We believe Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead to give us eternal life.
Luke 1:26-35; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
We believe salvation is a free gift received by grace through faith-not earned by works.
Through repentance and belief in Jesus’ finished work on the cross, our sins are forgiven and we are made new.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10
We believe Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. His resurrection gives us victory over sin and death.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25
We believe Jesus ascended to heaven and now reigns in glory. He will return personally and bodily for His Church and to establish His eternal kingdom.
John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace. It comes through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ-not by human effort or good deeds.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10
We believe in baptism by immersion as an outward expression of an inward transformation-identifying with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct and powerful experience available to believers, empowering them to live boldly and witness effectively. The Holy Spirit also gives gifts to build up the Church.
Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; Ephesians 1:13-14
We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. God designed intimacy to exist within marriage alone. While holding to this biblical truth, we extend love, compassion, and grace to all people, recognizing that everyone is in need of God’s mercy.
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-20
We believe God created humanity as male and female, each with unique and intentional design. Living in alignment with the gender God assigned at birth honors His creative purpose.
We affirm these truths with love and humility, walking alongside all with compassion and care.
Genesis 1:27; Deuteronomy 22:5
We believe that God restores every part of who we are-including our identity. Embracing how God created us brings healing, peace, and purpose. We support individuals in discovering their identity in Christ through grace, truth, and pastoral care.
Psalm 139:13-14; Romans 12:2
We believe giving is an act of worship. God calls every believer to tithe a tenth of our income-to support the work of His Church. Generosity reflects gratitude and trust in God’s provision.
Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Luke 6:38
We believe the Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts for the building of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. These gifts operate alongside the fruit of the Spirit to bring glory to God.
1 Corinthians 12:8-11; Ephesians 4:11-13; Galatians 5:22-23
We believe God calls believers to live holy, Spirit-filled lives that reflect His character and love.
Through daily surrender and obedience, we grow in maturity and holiness.
Ephesians 5:18; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Romans 12:1-2
We believe God still heals today. Through prayer, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit, believers can experience physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
James 5:14-16; Isaiah 53:5; Acts 4:30
We believe communion is a sacred act of remembrance for believers-honoring the sacrifice of Jesus and celebrating our unity with Him and one another.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe those who trust in Christ will live eternally with God, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation. Our hope and message is that all may come to salvation through Jesus.
John 3:16; Revelation 20:11-15
We believe Satan is real but defeated through the finished work of Christ. Believers have authority through Jesus to overcome the enemy and walk in freedom and victory.
Luke 10:19; Ephesians 6:10-18; Revelation 12:11
